- Measure the TV Size — As the laws of physics go, you have to make sure that the screen should lay at the distance equivalent to 3 times the diagonal measurement. Simplifying it, if you are having 42" Plasma, or LCD, or LED, you need to make sure that screen distance should be between 5 feet 3 inches and 10 feet 5 inches.
